Sierra & Shane had a lovely wedding on an even more lovely August day. Their budget for a wedding coordinator was small and after some discussion we came to the conclusion that their budget would be best used to take some of the decor items off of Sierra's to-do list and that they would utilize the Resort's Coordinator more fully. As a result, my main areas to work on were the aisle and arbor decor, the favors, and the rustic picture frames. Below is what we came up with.
Utilizing wheat from my Father's field we create sheaves of wheat that were tied with differing colors and sizes of ribbons. The same ribbons were utilized up front to make a hanging ribbon and flower curtain in the arbor. The flowers were sola shell flowers. (The bouquets on either side were by the local florist). Sierra & Shane wanted a very personalized, very unique favor. We settled on giving each guest a bar of lavender soap. Each batch of soap was hand-made, but, and packaged by me. I also put together the tags to send Sierra & Shane's greetings. The soaps were placed at each place setting at the reception. Extras were put near the exit of the hall.
Sierra had seen the neatest frames to hold the table numbers...the cost was higher than her budget allowed. I was able to locate real barn-wood and create the frames for under $7 each (including labor). The frames were used as Christmas gifts to family members with photos of the Bride and Groom inside.
